THE ROLE OF BUSINESS IMPLEMENTATION IN SUPPORTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: A PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Business activities play an important role in supporting economic growth and national development. In Indonesia, the implementation of business practices has experienced rapid development along with technological progress and economic globalization. However, business practices are not only based on economic interests but are also closely related to scientific foundations and philosophical values. This study aims to analyze the relationship between business implementation and philosophy of science and its role in supporting economic development. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a literature review method. The results of the study indicate that the philosophy of science provides an important foundation in understanding business practices through ontological, epistemological, and axiological perspectives. These perspectives help explain the nature of business activities, the methods used to develop business knowledge, and the ethical values that guide business practices. The integration of scientific approaches and ethical values in business activities can support sustainable economic development and improve social welfare.
