Publication Process

The following is the flow of the process of publishing articles in Digital Business and Information Management Journal (DBIMJ) through the OJS (Open Journal Systems) system, complete with numbering:

1. Article Submission

  • The author registered an account on the Journal platform (OJS).
  • Once the account is registered, the author logs in to the system and uploads the article along with the required metadata (title, abstract, keywords, etc.).
  • The author completes an article submission form that includes information about the author, their affiliation, and contact details.

2. Initial Screening

  • The editorial team conducts an initial check to ensure the article meets the journal's guidelines and policies.
  • If the article is eligible, it will be forwarded to the next stage. Otherwise, the article is returned to the author for improvement.

3. Assignment Reviewer (Assignment to Reviewers)

  • Editors select and invite reviewers with expertise in related fields to peer-review.
  • Articles are sent to reviewers anonymously (double-blind review), so that the identity of the author and the reviewer is not known to each other.

4. Review Process (Review Process)

  • Reviewers assess articles for quality, originality, scientific contributions, and compliance with journal guidelines.
  • Reviewers give recommendations: accepted without revision, accepted with minor revisions, accepted with major revisions, or rejected.

5. Results Editor (Editorial Decision)

  • The editor considers the review results and makes a decision based on the reviewer's recommendations.
  • The editor informs the author of the decision, which can be in the form of acceptance of the article, a revision request, or rejection.

6. Author Revisions

  • If asked to revise, the author corrects the article based on the reviewer's feedback and uploads the revised version via OJS.
  • Revised articles will be sent back to the reviewer for reassessment if needed.

7. Final Decision

  • The editor conducts a final evaluation of the revised article.
  • If the revision is deemed adequate, the article is accepted for publication. Otherwise, the article may be rejected or requested for further revision.

8. Proofreading dan Layout (Proofreading and Layout):

  • After acceptance, the article enters the layout and proofreading stages.
  • Authors may be required to proofread articles to correct any remaining errors.

9. Publication

  • Articles that have gone through the layout and proofreading process are published online in the Digital Business and Information Management Journal (DBIMJ).
  • The author receives a notification that his article has been published and is accessible to the public.

10. Distribution and Indexing

  • Published articles are distributed to readers through the OJS platform and indexed to various scientific databases in accordance with the journal's policies.

The process above provides a complete overview of the stages that must be passed by the author when he wants to publish an article in the Digital Business and Information Management Journal (DBIMJ)  through OJS.
